A Bequest in your Will
A valid Will, regardless of your age or the size of your estate, may be the best way to provide for the future of your loved ones as well as your favorite charitable causes. Properly drafted, a Will can help minimize estate taxes and other expenses. Prepare your Will with the assistance of an attorney, and update it periodically to reflect your changing circumstances and interests. In your Will you may bequeath to The Interfaith Alliance or The Interfaith Alliance Foundation:

• A specific dollar amount
• A percentage of your estate
• The remainder of your estate after all debts, expenses, taxes and other bequests have been made; or
• A contingent bequest if one or more of your beneficiaries does not survive you
• Your bequest may include cash, stocks, bonds, life insurance policies, or other planned gift arrangements

You may use the following language when including The Interfaith Alliance Foundation in your Will: "I hereby give and bequeath [amount in dollars OR percentage amount] to The Interfaith Alliance Foundation, a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia in 1995, having federal tax identification number 81-0587332, for its general purposes."

Life Insurance
You may name The Interfaith Alliance or The Interfaith Alliance Foundation as irrevocable owner and beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy that you no longer need, or purchase a new policy to benefit The Interfaith Alliance or The Interfaith Alliance Foundation. When you purchase a new policy, it may be structured so The Interfaith Alliance or The Interfaith Alliance Foundation pays the premium with funds you donate, thereby enabling you to deduct your gift.

Securities
A gift of securities that have appreciated over time can help provide for a tax deduction based upon the full fair market value of the securities on the date you give them to The Interfaith Alliance or The Interfaith Alliance Foundation, and may help you avoid paying capital gains tax.
