Interfaith Alliance of Colorado is working on a series of events to mark the tenth anniversary of September 11th. The theme is "Shadow & Light: A Time of Remembrance and Hope." The discussion “Conversations that Matter” will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral in Denver this Sunday at 1:30 p.m. The event will include "People of Faith Speak Out: What Do I Love and What Troubles Me about My Tradition?" and "What are the Sources of our Greatest Fears of Each Other?" And on Monday there will be a convocation for religious leaders to discuss a social contract and the role of religion for the public good in the 21st century. The event will include music from many faiths and prayers from Bishop Matthew Clark, Bishop Prince Singh, Imam Muhammed Shafiq and Rabbi Debbi Till. Interfaith Alliance of Pennsylvania is hosting a dinner and panel discussion entitled “Building Our Future Together” that will focus on two issues: “Confronting Extremists Within Your Own Tradition” and “Building Our Future Together.” The kickoff speaker will be Imam Yahya Hendi, Islamic Chaplain at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, who has been outspoken in both America and in the Arab world about the need to confront extremists within our own traditions.

The dinner and panel discussion, which will be held on Thursday, September 22nd  at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Cathedral, are part of a series of dialogues that began this past July. This event will be the launch of an ongoing multi-faith dialogue focusing on the theme of "Scriptures, Holidays and the Good Society" as a means of moving together toward a shared future.
