Interfaith Alliance Celebrates Historic Confirmation of Judge Jackson to U.S. Supreme Court

WASHINGTON–Religious freedom advocates are celebrating the historic confirmation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. Rabbi Jack Moline, president of Interfaith Alliance, released the following statement:

“Interfaith Alliance joins Americans nationwide in celebrating the historic confirmation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. As the first Black woman to serve on the Court, Judge Jackson has shattered a glass ceiling and helped fulfill our nation’s promise of a more inclusive and just democracy.

“As some Senators pursued deeply troubling lines of questioning about faith during the confirmation hearings, Judge Jackson demonstrated poise and clear respect for the essential boundaries between religion and government. Judge Jackson brings impeccable credentials to the Court during this critical moment for the future of religious freedom and democracy in the United States. I’m confident she will be an important and thoughtful voice on the Court for years to come.”
