We’re incredibly excited for the long-awaited return of the Annual BG Pride Parade. Join us for this special celebration June 2022. Yes! We’re back back back again. It’s time to finish what we started— a true in-person family-centric Pride Parade in the Chicago suburbs. We kicked-off strong in 2019 and now you can join us for an all-new parade this summer. Keep an eye out for Keshet marching in the parade with local synagogues! Molly Pinta, a 15-year-old student at Stevenson High School started the whole project! At the age of 12, she attended Aurora’s Inaugural Pride Parade, she was inspired to create one for her hometown. She and her family have long been advocates for social justice issues in their own town, but having many gay family members and friends, pride is the closest to home. Molly is now a Youth Ambassador for the Human Rights Campaign, the winner of the 2020 Illinois NOW Young Feminist Award, and a very serious honor student hoping to receive an Ivy League education on the east coast. Although she will always support the Pinta Pride Project, she wants to work with exotic animals, specifically reptiles and is the owner of two tree frogs, two geckos, and a ball python named St. Patrick.
