Welcome to the Interfaith Alliance Intern Program
Throughout the year, students from around the country intern at Interfaith Alliance. Interning at Interfaith Alliance gives them the unique opportunity to explore the various faith traditions represented in our diverse nation and to see first-hand the religious liberty at work. In addition, interns also work in a specific department, including development, program, or policy to learn about the specific rewards and challenges inherent in non-profit work. As full members of Interfaith Alliance staff, interns are expected to contribute to the daily tasks and ongoing projects. The internships are unpaid.
Interfaith Alliance offers key intern position areas in:
- Public Policy
- Development (on occasion)
- Field
Full and part-time fall and spring semester and summer internships are available and open to all college and graduate school students. Application to the Intern Program is competitive, while most applicants demonstrate an on-going interest in pursing collegiate studies in issues concerning religion and public policy, we also encourage those studying non-profit management and marketing. There are no restrictions.
All qualifications must include strong interpersonal, writing, and computer skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks and take initiative; and, a significant degree of organization.
Public Policy • Research core issues and update website information • Create policy pages and spreadsheets • Attend policy meetings with affiliate organizations • Assist with ongoing policy projects and initiatives • Comment on relevant news for regular blog/Facebook/Twitter entries
