The First Amendment grants us the freedom to worship (or not) as we see fit, but we must also respect the rights of others. Religious freedom is not a license to discriminate. Yet some in our nation repeatedly try to turn religious freedom into a weapon against religious minorities, people of color, women, children and the LGBT community.

That’s why Interfaith Alliance is calling on the Democratic and Republican National Committees to explicitly embrace religious freedom for all Americans and reject the use of religion as a weapon against others in the 2016 party platforms.
