Rabbi Jack Moline, president of Interfaith Alliance, called on Ronald Lauder to resign as president of World Jewish Congress, following the news that Lauder reportedly gave more than $1 million to support a rabidly anti-Muslim advertising campaign run by Secure America Now:
“Ronald Lauder must immediately resign as president of World Jewish Congress after bankrolling a shameful and bigoted anti-Muslim advertising campaign. His full embrace of anti-Muslim bigotry is a betrayal of the Jewish community and fundamental American values. His actions disqualify him from leading an organization that represents Jewish communities around the globe.”
Interfaith Alliance is a network of people of diverse faiths and beliefs from across the country working together to build a resilient democracy and fulfill America’s promise of religious freedom and civil rights not just for some, but for all.
